Role Overview:
As a Commercial Estimator, you will be the backbone of our project evaluation process. You will analyze project specifications, prepare cost estimates, and collaborate with various teams to ensure successful project execution. This is not just about numbers; it’s about making a significant impact on our clients’ projects, the air they breathe and the environment.
Job Type: Full Time
Salary: $75,000 plus incentive
- Analyze project plans and specifications to prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and sales teams to define project scope and requirements.
- Conduct site visits to assess conditions and evaluate necessary remediation strategies.
- Research and source materials, labor costs, and equipment requirements.
- Develop detailed estimates that include labor, materials, overhead, and profit margins.
- Prepare and present estimates to management and clients, ensuring clarity and transparency.
- Stay updated on industry trends, codes, and regulations to enhance competitiveness.
- Assist with bid proposals and contract negotiations as necessary.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial estimating within the abatement, remediation, or construction industry.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
- Certification in Estimating (e.g., AACE, ASPE) is a plus.
